If you are swimming or sweating for extended periods of time, you will need to reapply Jason Mineral Sunscreen. The sun’s UV rays penetrate clothes and can reach areas where sunscreen cannot. Reapplication is especially important after water activities like swimming, surfing or water skiing and during prolonged exposure to sunlight such as working or playing outdoors on a hot day. We recommend that adults should apply sunscreen every two hours when outdoors. For children under 6 months of age: consult a doctor before using any sunscreen product.

If you have applied sunscreen on other areas of your body, you may wait a few minutes before heading out into the sun. If you haven’t used sunscreen on any other parts of your body, then we would recommend waiting 20-30 minutes after application to be sure that it has dried and set. If at any time during outdoor activity you feel as though your skin needs additional coverage, reapply this sunscreen at that time for additional protection.

Alba Botanica offers a product that is non-greasy, unscented and hypoallergenic. Jason offers a product with SPF 30+ broad spectrum protection, mineral zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, which has been shown to be protective against both UVA and UVB rays. The main difference between these two products is that Alba Botanica does not contain zinc oxide or titanium dioxide; therefore it provides only sunburn protection.
